WHAT WORKS Why is innovation and building Intellectual Capital so important? Successful care organizations need to develop and enrich internally their own human capital to create change, not to operate on a series of reactions to the market. Enhancing intellectual capital, which includes human capital and customer capital, in the local community increases the Value, Quality and Attractiveness of services through unique innovation. This innovation improves the clinical product, as well as the customer service appeal that differentiates relationships between physicians, employers, and hospital systems. ![]() To do this requires the leaderships skills to produce results and a refocusing of goals to innovate locally through a vision of anticipating community needs in order to retain and grow relationships such as those between physicians and industry. For over 20 years, DeMarco & Associates has assisted clients by becoming both a partner in the transitional phases within these organizations to provide research and development tools to pick the optimal success path and a facilitator to assure the plan is effectively implemented by the clients leadership team. When organizations utilize these tools, they are able to apply them to their current situation to work towards creating their own view of the future. Included in this view of the future is building social capital between stakeholders in the community. Unlike previous attempts at integration, this can be physician driven integration at the local level.
Coordinated Care Management
For coordinated care management to deliver at these goals, local and regional stakeholders must create and invest the social capital to conform to local needs. |
