Forney W. Fleming, MD, MBA
Dr. Fleming recently retired after 35 years of medical practice. A board certified orthopedic surgeon, he spent his career in Wichita, Kansas, and later in Port Arthur, Texas. He obtained his B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin, an M.D. from The University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, Texas, and an M.B.A. with honors from The University of Houston-Clear Lake. His internship was served at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas, and a residency at The University of Texas Health Science Center, Houston, Texas. He served as a Flight Surgeon in the U.S. Air Force.
During his career, Dr. Fleming was the founding president of a 350 physician IPA, and later helped found and lead a PHO. He served as the President of the Jefferson County Medical Society, a member of the Liability Committee of the Texas Medical Association, a Delegate to the TMA, and a district chairman for TEXPAC. He was active in the tort reform movement successfully passed in Texas.
Currently, Dr. Fleming is a medical advisor to Pendulum Health and DeMarco & Associates and is an Instructor at the University of Texas Dallas in their graduate MBA program for physicians.
